Unlocking the Potential of English Language Learners and Native English Speakers

Tutoring

Get personalized help with reading, writing, and English language concepts. Work at your own pace and confidence to improve your literacy skills.

Citizenship Class

This 8-week course prepares you for the U.S. Citizenship Exam by covering American citizen rights and responsibilities.

Small Group Classes

Led by trained volunteer tutors, these classes give students the opportunity to practice English conversation and vocabulary.

KLC’s adult learners come from all walks of life: some are young adults, many are parents, and some are coming back to school later in life because they need to find a new job.

  • 100% of students improve their English literacy skills

  • 62% of learners advanced at least one gravel level

  • 36% of learners found better employment opportunities or choose to enroll at Gateway Technical College
