Welcome to the Kenosha Literacy Council
Established in 1965, the Kenosha Literacy Council (KLC) is a nonprofit agency dedicated to providing English literacy education to adults with the assistance of trained volunteers.
Literacy is a fundamental ingredient in building strong families, a good economy and a healthy community. Adults need to know how to read, write, and speak in English so they can participate in the workforce and earn wages that support their families and communities.
We invite you to explore our website and hope it provides you with answers, opportunities, and the chance to learn about the many wonderful services the Kenosha Literacy Council offers to both non-English speaking immigrants and native-English speakers. Whether you are a potential learner, volunteer tutor, literacy advocate, sponsor, or donor, we welcome you and hope to provide the service or information you seek.
Thank you for your interest in the Kenosha Literacy Council!
Announcement to current KLC volunteer tutors. We highly value your opinion! By completing the 2010 Tutor Survey, you are providing a way for us to better understand your needs as a volunteer tutor and suggesting any changes we should implement to make our program more successful.
