Literacy Services - Tutoring

Tutoring is available for both ESL and ABE Learners.

One-on-One Tutoring: Students work privately with a volunteer tutor to improve reading and English language skills. Tutoring sessions are usually held two hours per week at a time and place that is convenient to both tutor and student. Student and tutor work toward meeting personal literacy goals that include employment and life skills.
Drop-In Tutoring: Drop-in tutoring is provided in the KLC Learning Lab which is located in the lower level of the Uptown Library. During drop-in tutoring, students meet at scheduled times with volunteer tutors who are there to help with assigned work. Students may attend as little or as often as their schedule permits. Drop-in Tutoring times are:
- Monday, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Tuesday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Thursday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
